To mark the fifth anniversary of the tripartite cooperation framework among the Hong Kong Police Force, the Customs and Excise Department and the Aviation Security Company Limited (AVSECO) as well as fifth anniversary of the establishment of the AVSECO Canine Unit (ACU), the three agencies together with the Airport Authority Hong Kong and the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department held a celebration ceremony at Terminal 2 on 12^th June 2026.

The ceremony began with a video showcasing highlights from the ACU’s journey since its inception, followed by speeches from honorable guests and an exhibition opening ceremony. The event concluded with a spectacular interactive demonstration presented jointly by the four canine units. The venue also featured an exhibition gallery highlighting the work of the four units and aviation security awareness, along with photo booths where guests could view the displays and interact or take photos with the handlers and their working dogs.

Over 380 guests attended the event, including heads and senior management from the co-organizing agencies and departments, representatives from disciplined services, aviation industry partners, students, and members of the Senior Police Call. The event also garnered extensive media coverage, successfully showcasing the ACU’s achievements over the past five years and promoting the unit’s brand to the public.
