AVSECO and HKCT Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Jointly Cultivate Aviation Security Talent
Aviation Security Company Limited (AVSECO) and HKCT Institute of Higher Education (HKCT) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 10, 2025, establishing a long-term strategic partnership to promote talent development in aviation security. This collaboration combines AVSECO's extensive experience in industry insights and business operations with HKCT's strengths in vocational and professional education, injecting new momentum into the cultivation of aviation security talent in Hong Kong.
The signing ceremony was officiated by Mr. Fung Chiu Yuen, Senior Manager (Recruitment) of AVSECO, and Ms. Li Wai Man, Senior Director (Post-secondary Education) of HKCT, with Ms. Chu Heung Yee, Deputy Chief Executive Director of AVSECO, and Professor Lam Sam, Associate Vice President of HKCT, serving as witnesses.
The collaboration covers multiple areas, including talent cultivation, internship experience, and curriculum development. HKCT students will have exclusive opportunities to observe AVSECO's daily operations at Hong Kong International Airport and gain an in-depth understanding of the practical work of aviation security. In addition, students will have priority access to airport internships, accumulating valuable practical work experience before graduation, enhancing their employment competitiveness, and gaining priority in hiring.
Regarding curriculum design, AVSECO will serve as a professional consultant to HKCT’s discipline services and related courses, ensuring that the curriculum closely aligns with aviation security development trends and equips students with the practical skills required. Both parties will also explore corporate project collaborations, allowing students to apply their classroom learning to real-world scenarios and further solidify their professional capabilities.
Both parties stated that they will continue to explore more collaborative projects in the future, promoting the integration of education and industry through commercial or non-commercial means, jointly cultivating a new generation of aviation security professionals with professional competence and a sense of social responsibility.
