Collective Effort to Strengthen Security Awareness of Airport Community
Establishing a security culture within the airport community is an ongoing endeavour that necessitates joint efforts from all stakeholders. Aviation Security Company Limited (AVSECO) and the Airline Operators Committee HKIA (AOC) are committed to strive to turn the vision of “Security is Everyone’s Responsibility” into action.
On 10, 11 and 17 March 2025, AVSECO and Menzies CNAC carried out a series of joint activities aimed at promoting security awareness. These activities focused on the “proper use & display of Airport Restricted Area (ARA) permits” and “compliance with the colour codes and endorsements of ARA permits for access to different airport zones”.
The activities included the establishment of promotional booths within the staff resting areas of Menzies CNAC. More than 300 employees of Menzies CNAC participated in an online quiz competition designed to enhance their knowledge of security awareness relevant topics. Additionally, 1,000 cue cards were distributed to the management of Menzies CNAC to reinforce security messages.
Following the successful completion of the joint initiatives, an award presentation ceremony took place at AVSECO Headquarters on 3 April 2025. Commendation letters and souvenirs were awarded to the top five scorers of the online quiz competition at the ceremony, which was witnessed by Mr. Raymond LO, Chief Executive Officer of Menzies CNAC, Mr. Dave LI, Director and General Manager (Passenger Services) of Menzies CNAC, and Mr. Dino LUI, Director and General Manager (Ramp and Cargo Services) of Menzies CNAC.
