The "HKIA Community Cycling and Running Competition 2025" was successfully held by the Airport Authority Hong Kong on 25 February 2025 (Tuesday) at AsiaWorld-Expo. The event attracted participation from 24 airport community organizations, including government departments and disciplinary forces, engaging in intense competition.

Executive Director Mr. CHEUNG Tak-keung led a team of 9 AVSECO sports enthusiasts to participate in the competition, which included a 20km cycling race and a 3km running race.  Team members actively practiced and well prepared for the competition, formulated an effective competition strategy, and demonstrated excellent team spirit and tenacity in the competition.  With the outstanding leadership of Mr. Cheung and the strong support and encouragement from the Company's management and cheerleaders, the team achieved the “Champion” title in the running event. 

Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Hong Kong airport development in 2025, The Airport Authority invited around 100 veteran staff who have worked for Hong Kong Airport since the Kai Tak era to attend the celebration, including 20 AVSECO colleagues, to witness this historic moment.  Chief Manager of Training Mr. HUI Kwok-cheung, Simon, represented the company in media interviews, sharing his experiences from the Kai Tak era to the present.
