Upon the signing of Security Awareness Charter in July 2024, Aviation Security Company Limited (AVSECO) and Airline Operators Committee HKIA (AOC) have been working closely to enhance the overall security awareness within the airport community, AVSECO and Hong Kong Airport Services Limited  (HAS) conducted a series of joint security awareness promotion activities between 16 and 31 December 2024, activities focused on “proper use & display of Airport Restricted Area (ARA) permits” and “compliance with the colour codes of ARA permits for access to different airport zones”. 

The activities included setting up promotion booths at the staff resting rooms of HAS. Besides, an online quiz participated by over 200 HAS staff members to boost their knowledge in security awareness topics. In addition, 1,000 cue cards have been distributed to AOC members to re-enforce security messages.

Upon the successful completion of the joint activities, an award presentation ceremony was held at AVSECO Headquarter on 2 January 2025. After the opening speech given by Mr. Jacob Cheung, Executive Director of AVSECO, then Mr. Duncan McCosh, Deputy Executive Director of AVSECO, Ms. Keri Lui, Chair of the AOC, Mr. Xavier Wong, GM Operations of HAS awarded the Commendation Letters to the top three scorers of the online quiz, Mr. NG Hoi Tai John, Mr. CHEUNG Tsz Fung and Mr. LAM Ka Ho.
