Police Dog Unit Provides Training for AVSECO in Explosives Detection

To facilitate the establishment of AVSECO Canine Unit (ACU), the Police Dog Unit provided a 12-week training course on explosives detection for three canine handlers and canines between January and April 2021. The training included: global trends in terrorist threats, terrorist attack methods and techniques for explosives detection with canines at the airport. For continual quality assurance, the Police Dog Unit will also offer annual certification for ACU canines to maintain their professional capability.
