To strengthen the capability of the Contingency Response Unit (CRU) and their coordination with the Airport Authority (AA) and Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) under contingency situation, the Police and AVSECO joint exercise ‘HURRICANE’ was conducted on 30^th March 2021 at North Satellite Concourse with the AA Airport Duty Manager, 53 Airport Police officers, 190 CRU members and 3 AVSECO Canine Unit (ACU) Canine Handlers together with 3 canines participating. 

The exercise simulated public order disruption to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), in which a pro-active approach was adopted with CRU and ACU mobilised and deployed in coordination with Airport Police assistance.
