Security Training for Regulated Agents |
A one-day 'Certification' course, designed to facilitate air-cargo handling operations undertaken by Regulated Agents (RA) to satisfy one of the main registration conditions as an RA under the Regulated Agent Regime (RAR) of the Hong Kong Airport Aviation Security Programme. Students, who must be employees of RAs, will gain an in-depth knowledge of the background, rules and operations of the RAR and will be issued with a 'Certificate' on passing the end-of-course written examination.

Standard Aviation Security Management Courses |
A five-day training course, designed to provide fundamental knowledge and explain management principles on general and aviation security matters, with particular reference to International (ICAO Annex 17) and National (HKASP) requirements, using the HKIA as a backdrop for practical analysis of theories and principles. Delivered by AVSECO aviation security professionals, the course has been well received by local and overseas managers from the aviation security, aviation and general security industry.

A participative and interactive four-day courses, designed to provide information on current and future security developments, with particular emphasis on Terrorism. ICAO Training Courses |
AVSECO is designated by ICAO to provide various Standard Training Packages to satisfy prevailing needs in the Asia Pacific Region, e.g. 'Aviation Security Manager Certification Programme', 'Hostage Negotiation Programme', 'National Auditors Programme', 'Crisis Management Course', 'Aviation Security Programme Workshop' etc. AVSECO can deliver most courses in English or Chinese. Enrolment to scheduled courses can be made through each applicant's respective national Civil Aviation Organization.

Security Training for Airlines |
An 8-Hour training programme, specially designed to equip aircrew, including cabin and cockpit crew, on the subject of 'In-flight Security'. In compliance with the Security Provisions mandated in ICAO Annex 6, the programme aims to equip aircrew with knowledge of threats, principles, theories and skills as well as vitally important do's and don'ts, particularly when faced with situations including disruptive / violent passengers, hijacking, and terrorist incidents. The programme is delivered on a regular basis and is open to any airline seeking to enhance the security skills and capabilities of its crew members.

CAAC / AVSECO Joint Training Programmes |
Various aviation security training programmes have been developed and are jointly delivered by AVSECO's Aviation Security Academy and the CAAC AVSEC Training Centre in Kunming, China. These courses are tailor-made to meet particular needs of aviation security professionals and organisations in China, and are delivered in Putonghua. Programmes commence in Kunming and end in Hong Kong, with many opportunities to witness how both international and national requirements are implemented at HKIA.

Behavior Pattern Identification (BPI) |
A one-day course introducing a profiling technique that supplements the current limitation of security technology used in the airport and civil aviation. Through a five-stage process, law enforcement agents and airlines personnel could apply these procedures to monitor and question people based on their suspicious 'behavior', so that they can proactively identify potential terrorists and criminals committing acts of unlawful interference against civil aviation.
